Creating Relationships, One Video at a Time

A Riparian Bridal Show!

There’s nothing like a bridal show with a view! KELCURT Media enjoyed a wonderful experience by participating in the Southern Belle‘s Second Annual Bridal Show. We had the opportunity to meet and get to know many brides-to-be in a relaxed setting. The atmosphere was as restful and relaxing as the Tennessee River just outside the windows. We were also fortunate to see some of our favorite fellow vendors, as well as meeting new wedding professionals that we truly hope to work with in the future. Thank you to our brides, and thank you Joy, Erika, and Meaghan for creating a great environment!

KCM Bridal Pledge

We at KELCURT Media want to thank all of the wonderful brides and their families and friends who we were so fortunate to speak with at the Chattanooga Times Free Press Formal Affair! We hope that you enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed speaking with you!

Curtis and I learned three important things about all of our brides-to-be:

1. You and your bridal party are educating yourselves early in order to be fully prepared for and get the most out of your big day. Your comments about the information we consistently share on our website and blog have been invaluable and we pledge to continue sharing information, as often as possible, to continue helping you plan your perfect day

2. It was so exhilarating to hear about your ideas for your wedding. From Goth to Regal to Traditional, the passion you shared for your wedding was incredible! We pledge to continue creating wedding videos inspired by your uniqueness. You have always been our inspiration for each video and your responses have re-invigorated both Curtis and I to never lose that passion!

3. And lastly, the economy has challenged many bridal budgets. We not only heard you, we listened. Effective immediately, KELCURT Media is offering a discount. The KCM Bridal Pledge applies to each of our packages to ensure that you won’t miss out on having quality high definition videography for your special day!

  • $100 off the Earth Package!
  • $200 off the Moon Package!
  • $300 off the Stars Package!

To prove our commitment to you, we will offer this discount for every bride who books during the entire year of 2011!

We want to make sure that we take care of you and you never lose the memories of your wedding day! What we don’t want is for you to look back and regret not having a videographer because of financial constraints.

Please, visit our website, contact us, and let us capture your day to be enjoyed forever! Don’t let your day be lost in time.

Sincerely,

Kelly Flemings

RENT Broadway

KELCURT Media has enjoyed a long friendship and professional relationship with JC Smith,  of  Closed Door Entertainment. And today we were honored to be asked to film his audition for the off-Broadway production of RENT, a musical by Jonathan Larson. JC is a very talented actor, writer, director and singer, and has been involved with numerous productions in the Chattanooga area. Click here to see JC’s audition piece on YouTube. Rather than jinx this amazing opportunity in New York City for JC, we’ll simply say “Break a leg!”

A Gem of a Video Shoot

KELCURT Media had a fantastic time working with Ray Wright and his staff at Wright Jewelers last night. The shooting for their kiosk video is to debut at the Formal Affair this Sunday, February 20 at the Chattanooga Convention Center. Every time we are privileged to work with them, we are constantly reminded why they are one of our preferred vendors. Not only do they offer an amazing selection, the best jewelry and eyeglass repair in the Southeast, and customized settings, they are the nicest and most professional jewelers that we have ever worked with. This photo is only a small sample of the diverse array of loose stones they offer, and a teaser for the video to come!

Photographers Extraordinaire!

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a great photographer is priceless! KELCURT Media has been privileged to work with many fine photographers in the wedding, commercial and industrial field. However three have stood out for a variety of reasons: excellent eye and talent, receptivity to client’s needs, professionalism, quality, integrity, fantastic and fun to work with, and all-around great people! We would like to highlight our 3 Preferred Vendors for Photography and encourage you to visit each one’s website and portfolio. They all have unique styles and talents. Thank you to our photographers for being amazing to work with and easy to recommend!

A wedding brings together more than just a couple in love. It also brings together a variety of vendors in the hopes of creating an incredibly memorable experience. Many of these vendors must work very closely to insure that their relationship uplifts the event, creating something greater than its parts. The wedding coordinator must harmonize with, among so many others, the DJ or band to insure a constructive timeline throughout the reception. The caterer and the event staff must work closely with the location coordinator to create a seamless serving experience.

The photographer and videographer must blend and balance their talents to guarantee that no memory is lost. Three elements can help insure this:

  • Communication before and during the event is critical. As a professional in either field, take the opportunity to get to know one another as time permits, and preferably before the event itself. The importance of this is developing a respect for each other, learning working styles, and coming to understand what each other needs.
  • Compare notes on the couple and the bridal party. Each has met with the party and may have different observations that help to create more personalized shots.
  • By establishing a “game plan”, working together becomes a fun and beneficial opportunity to grow, while giving the bride and groom exactly what they want and keeping the timeline of the event on track.

Our belief is that neither medium is superior; both are essential, and each focuses on a different aspect of wedding and reception memories. Photography captures the moment, the first kiss as husband and wife caught for all time, the uniting of two families in portrait, the smiles during a father/daughter dance. Videography captures the essence, the flames of the unity candle dancing as they become one, the sweep of the bride as the groom dips her at the end of their first dance, the arc of the bouquet as it flies through the air. By working together, photographers and videographers can preserve a day that can be re-experienced for a lifetime.

More than just a beat!

Music is essential at any reception. But there is more to creating a memorable reception than just music. And you are assured of a memorable reception when you enlist the professionals of 410 productions! DJ Gene Lovin doesn’t just spin the playlist that you request – he creates an unforgettable event that invites everyone to enjoy themselves, to relax and have fun! It’s his personality as much as his music that draws otherwise-wall flowers to get up, get out, and dance! I realize that there are a lot of exclamation points used in the writing of this blog entry, but that’s exactly what you get when you have 410 productions at your reception.

And it isn’t only the music and atmosphere. Brenda, Gene’s wife and partner-in-excellence, works very closely with the bridal planner to make sure that all elements occurring during the reception are timed and coordinated. So when you’re ready to guarantee the a true Reception Experience, contact 410 productions!
